I have lovely memories of Eleanor from my time living in Barnes. She was a great community advocate with a strong sense of justice. Her musical life was very important to her and she took great pride in the lives of her sons. She and Tom were a great couple. They had their own interests and passions but were wonderful together. I am sorry Tom has been unwell and am sending very best wishes to him at this time. She embodied public service with the time she gave to elected office and campaigning politics.  She will be much missed. Sadly we had not been in contact for a number of years but I was saddened to read of her death. I am sure she leaves a lasting legacy.
